Highway 407 Over Wilcot Creek
The Highway 407 expansion consists of 14m-wide bridges for the eastbound and westbound lanes, allowing Wilmot Creek to flow around. The bridge foundation includes perched concrete wall abutments supported on steel H-pile foundations.

InGeo Design was retained by Soletanche Bachy Canada to provide excavation shoring design and field support for a key component of the Highway 407 East Phase 2 expansion. The overall project extended Highway 407 by approximately 22 kilometers from Harmony Road in Oshawa to Highway 35/115 in Clarington, and included the construction of Highway 418; a new north-south connector between Highways 401 and 407.
As part of the bridge construction over Wilcot Creek, InGeo designed a sheet pile shoring system with internal walers and corner braces to support excavation activities. The design was tailored to meet site-specific geotechnical conditions and construction sequencing requirements.
